Learning Resources 2020

During the COVID-19 Preemptive Measures, all classes are cancelled at St. Thomas Aquinas. School may be 'out' but learning is a lifelong activity! We encourage our school community to take this time to learn, grow, and explore the world in every way possible. On this page, you will find links to resources and suggestions for continued learning. Our school will not be sending packages of 'assigned' work to students at this time and there is no expectation for new materials to be submitted to teachers for assessment.

We suggest that, for the time being, our students consider their absence from school as an extended Knowledge Hour -- select a learning goal and go for it! Spend at least part of each day focused on learning! This page will be developed over time so please keep checking back for additions (feel free to contact a teacher to share your ideas for additions). Also, don't forget to get exercise -- hygiene, diet, and exercise are key components of staying healthy, especially during a health-crisis.

Parents and Guardians can also visit the Curriculum Resources section of the NL Government Website to view Outcomes for each course and grade level.

Social Distancing does NOT EQUAL Social Isolation -- get out with your family and engage in the world around you!
